Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Milwaukee Pet Rescue & Resource cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs
  • $525.00 - Puppies from 0 months to 5 months
  • $500.00 - Puppies from 6 months to 2 years
  • $475.00 - Dogs from 2 years to 5 years
  • $450.00 - Dogs from 5 years to 7 years
  • $400.00 - Dogs aged 7 years and up

Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Milwaukee Pet Rescue & Resource cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Milwaukee Pet Rescue & Resource dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Micro-chipped
  • Distemper Vaccination (DAPP)
  • Rabies Vaccination ( 15+ weeks)
  • Bordetella Vaccination
  • Heartworm Test
  • Fecal Testing / Deworming
  • Spay / Neuter Surgery (by 6 months of age)
